UPHOLSTERY & REUPHOLSTERY
Here at Knights we offer a complete end-to-end upholstery service using a combination of traditional skills and modern methods, depending on the project. Our upholsterers are fully trained in the traditional methods of upholstery and use traditional materials like horsehair, jute webbing hessian and coil springs where appropriate.
If you’re looking for something custom or bespoke, we can work with you to create a unique piece of furniture to meet your specification or we can alter your existing furniture to match your requirements. We can design and manufacture pelmets and headboards in just about any size and shape. Both can be finished using fabric to match your curtains and décor or contrasting materials depending on your requirements.
Undertaking a full reupholster can be a cost-effective option if you have a good quality hardwood framed suite. We can strip and repair any frame damage and then replace all springs/webbing, replace all interiors then reupholster in a fabric or leather of your choice.
We can replace your sagging seat and back cushion inserts with a choice of the highest-grade fillings and replace the springs and webbing on your furniture. We can repair or replace any damaged sections of your frame and add also additional strengthen to make sure the problem doesn’t reoccur. Some areas of your chairs and sofas, like armrests and cushion pads, suffer much more day to day wear and tear than others, so in many cases we are able to reupholster individual panels that are worn.
